Welcome to "simply revland".......my inaugural blog post. I am really excited to share my story with you. At the age of 71, after over 50 years as an artist and musician, I feel like I'm just getting started. And why not! We only get one shot at this on our planet....and we need to make the most of it. I have always been a risk taker, and have failed at a number of things. But as I have aged.... failures have become few and far between. Being self employed all of my life, with barely a high school diploma in my back pocket, I have had a tendency to "fly by the seat of my pants." What I have always had, however, was a creative mind, with formidable hands. It's taken me decades to achieve true success.......and right now, am having the time of my life.

Two years ago.....I published my memoir, "simply revland".....(how to succeed in life despite yourself.) An adventurous journey starting in 1955 as a two year old, and ending in 2022, at the age of sixty-nine. It depicts a troubled child......who morphed into a troubled young adult......and how he got from point A to point B through through recovery and trial and error. (Heavy emphasis on the error part.) I hope you get a chance to read my book, and I see this blogging opportunity to be an extension of the journey as it continues. Expect a post at least once a week as I continue to hone my craft. Artists never retire. We just gradually and eventually tip over, like a majestic multi-limbed tree. Peace and love to everyone. Stay tuned.
